Christmas arrives at Harrods

Christmas has arrived at Harrods and, like every year, it surprises us with its amazing window displays.

All aboard! Harrods, the luxury department store famed for its iconic Christmas window display, has unveiled 2013's offering

This Christmas's set is inspired by the traditional British stream train and it took 50 people, 500 hours to create the installation. Each window is framed by twinkling hedgerows and two Christmas tree and shows us the luxurious fashion, accessories and home-wares.

Picture perfect: Harrods always puts on a lavish display that attracts thousands of shoppers from across the globe

Elegantly dressed mannequins recreate an old-fashion world. We can see them eating colorful macaroons and drinking tea from little azure cups, flirting or having a glamorous party near a piano and they invite passers-by to be part of the Harrods experience. Sound effects and TV screens on the background, showing moving images, give the impression of really being on the Harrods Express, travelling in a dream world.
