Very creative billboards

A billboard is a large outdoor advertising structure usually set near busy roads, in order to catch the attention of pedestrians and drivers. Billboards were born in 1796, when the invention of lithography made real posters possible and have soon become very popular.

Billboards are very common in modern cities and can be part of them: can you image Piccadilly Circus without its famous and sparkling billboards?

Here's an array of some very creative billboards:

Zombie can not swim, get a boat

This is one of the funniest ads ever seen.

Yours is a very bad hotel: a graphic complaint

Customers have the power to create and destroy a company and this is important mainly in the service industry, where the interaction between the company and the client is part of the service. The company must create a strong relationship with the customer, gaining his/her trust and creating a long-term relation. To achieve this result, the company has to offer good products that meet the needs and desires of the customer and it is important to correct eventual mistakes. Errors will always happen, but what the company must resolve it. In this way, the client will be satisfied and can forget the initial error, but when the company doesn't sympathize with the customer, consequences can be very serious and damage the company's image.

This is a lesson that a lot of companies have learnt thanks to the saga "Your is a very bad hotel".

Look! An airplane

Have you ever looked at a airplane in the sky, wondering where it was going? Well, that is what British Airways does with the new campaign "Look up".

BA has installed digital billboards that interact with aircraft flying overhead. As we can see from the video, the billboard shows a kid standing up when the airplane passes and, pointing it, he tells us the number of the flight, the destination and the origin.

This kind of advertisement is new and it interesting noticing that it uses custom built surveillance technology.
